The Spa Guide – Blog 01 - Introduction

Welcome to the first episode of The Spa Guide, a chatty (and I’d like to think interesting and informative) blog written by me (Isabella) the Aveda Spa Therapist at ILLUMI.

The reason for creating this blog is to connect with our guests on a more personal level and to allow us all to experience this journey together. Here I will discuss how a variety of treatments are beneficial for you, what is a popular demand at ILLUMI, new treatments/techniques we will be implementing, top tips and favorite Aveda products for the month and much much more! Now and again I will have guest blogs written by other team members here at ILLUMI so it will also include information on Hair and Wellbeing.

I’d like to thank you personally for taking the time to read the blog and hopefully you will find some helpful information along the way. Make sure you tune in to read the latest post and if you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to give the salon a call on 01527 852 444.

This week our topic is going to be on stress! We all have it, but it's how we deal with stress that makes a difference. Aveda’s Stress-Fix range has certified organic Lavender, Lavindin and Clary Sage that all work together to create a medley of stress relieving aromas that work on the mind body and soul. Just ask me during the consultation if you would like me to use the Stress–Fix range or I might even suggest using it if I feel its right for you. The range includes the Stress–Fix Soaking Salts, which are absolutely amazing! Use them in the bath or I like to exfoliate with them. The cleansing oil that gently cleanses and nourishes the skin. The body lotion that is a light hydrating product or if you prefer something thicker try the Stress–Fix Body Crème that is a luxurious heavy rich crème perfect for those of you with dryer skin. We stock all these products here at ILLUMI so please feel free to ask a member of the team for more information.

Thank you for taking the time to read our first blog I hope you’ve found it informative and interesting! Make sure you tune in for the latest edition in The Spa Guide and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Until next time - I
